Beating the crowds

  • Tuesday to Thursday is quietest almost everywhere, and often cheaper.
  • Lots: the base-area lot is the ample one. The Glory Ridge triple chair lot is limited, so on busy days arrive early or use the base lots. The front half of the top lot is high-occupancy priority, so carpool with 3 or more people to get those spots.
  • Buy lift tickets online ahead of time, or print them at the Glory Lodge in the morning or at the downtown Nelson office the day before. This skips the window line. Tickets are non-refundable once bought.
  • Eat outside the noon rush. The Fresh Tracks café is busiest between 12 pm and 1:30 pm, so go earlier or later, or order from the Glory Lodge or the downstairs express café.
  • On powder days the lot can fill by about 9:30 am and the resort has used drop-off only when full. A new permanent washroom in the Skier Services Lodge is meant to improve traffic flow back into the base area for the 2026-27 season.
