Beating the crowds

  • Tuesday to Thursday is quietest almost everywhere, and often cheaper.
  • Lift tickets are limited every day this season, so buy in advance and check the availability calendar on the lift ticket pages before you travel.
  • Through Jan 15, most valley and alpine lifts run about 9 AM to 3:30 PM, so the lift day is shorter. Arrive before the first lifts open and plan on the morning window.
  • Avoid the restricted peak dates (Nov 27-28, Dec 26-31, Jan 16, Feb 13-14) if you hold an Epic Local or restricted Day Pass, since those days are not covered on that product.
