Beating the crowds

  • Tuesday to Thursday is quietest almost everywhere, and often cheaper.
  • Park in lots 1-9 (free, ski-out) or the Preferred Parking lot below the Lower Meadows double, and arrive early on weekends and holidays, since ski-area parking fills first. The Preferred Parking pass lets you arrive later and still get a spot.
  • Use the drop-off area outside the base lodge to unload gear. You can stay there for up to 10 minutes, and then park in lots 1-9 and ride the free shuttle (the Schuss Bus) or ski back to the base.
  • Buy tickets online or reload your RFID card before you arrive so you can go direct to lift. Ticket windows and rental lines are the usual bottlenecks on busy mornings.
  • Tuesdays and Wednesdays are the least crowded days, according to the resort's area overview, and the Tippecanoe and Valley Run trails are less busy then.
