Beating the crowds
- Tuesday to Thursday is quietest almost everywhere, and often cheaper.
- Prime skier traffic at the lots runs about 8:30 to 10:30 AM on busy days, so arriving before 8:30 or after 10:30 AM avoids most of the crush.
- On weekends and holidays, Jitney shuttles run from the farther lots to the base, so you can skip the drop-off line and park early.
- Mt. Ellen is four miles up VT-100 at the German Flats Road turn and usually takes less traffic than Lincoln Peak; the GMT shuttle connects the two mountains for free.
- Lincoln Peak has a limited number of reservation VIP parking spots, and valet is first-come on weekends and holidays, so book or arrive early if you need the base lot.
