Beating the crowds
- Tuesday to Thursday is quietest almost everywhere, and often cheaper.
- Peak days (most weekends and holiday periods) require a parking reservation to park before 10 a.m. Sundays are usually quieter than Saturdays. Reserve a free carpool spot (4+ people, or one adult with two kids 12 and under) or a $20 paid spot when you buy your pass or ticket.
- If you arrive without a reservation, plan to arrive after 2 p.m. Night skiing runs Wednesdays through Sundays from 3 to 10 p.m. through mid-March, and parking has more room later in the day.
- When summit lots fill, the Yodelin satellite lot may open on peak days with a free reservation required before 10 a.m. Do not park on Highway 2 or walk the highway.
- Weekdays are free to park first-come, first-served with no reservation needed. Weekday mornings are the least crowded time to visit.
