Beating the crowds
- Tuesday to Thursday is quietest almost everywhere, and often cheaper.
- Park in Earl's Lot A on weekdays only if you carpool, since it is reserved for 3+ person vehicles. Weekdays are the quietest days; Tuesday through Thursday is the stated best window.
- On weekends and holidays, Earl's lots A through E are carpool-only (3+ people) until 11 a.m. Arriving after 11 a.m. opens those lots to everyone, but the best spots go early.
- The Maples, Canyon Rim, Wildcat and Green Pond lots are free and need no reservation. Canyon Rim was expanded by 124 stalls last winter. Use the free shuttles from the outer lots to reach Earl's Lodge.
- The UDOT Ogden Valley feed suggests avoiding SR-39 and SR-226 traffic at 7-9 a.m. and 3-5 p.m. Check the resort's parking availability and cameras before you leave. Ski bus riders on UTA routes 674, 675 and 677 avoid the lot queue altogether.
