Beating the crowds
- Tuesday to Thursday is quietest almost everywhere, and often cheaper.
- Buy lift tickets online ahead of time. Smuggs limits daily lift ticket sales under its Comfortable Carrying Capacity program, and when the cap is reached, sales stop for that day.
- Indy Pass holders need an advance reservation for every visit, which spreads Indy traffic across the calendar. Midweek days avoid the weekend peak-rate crowd, which was $125 versus $85 on weekdays in the last published rate card.
- Route 108 through the Notch is closed to vehicles in winter, so drive in from Route 15 west to Jeffersonville rather than through the pass.
- Weekday mornings are quieter than weekends at this resort. Check for the Jeffersonville-side access road and plan to arrive before the first lift opens at 9:00 a.m.
