Beating the crowds

  • Tuesday to Thursday is quietest almost everywhere, and often cheaper.
  • Opening day is Dec 5 with an 8:30 a.m. start. The main lot is reserved for vehicles with 2 or more guests, so solo drivers should take the Revelstoke Resort Shuttle (C$2 a trip) or carpool.
  • Resort parking fills early on weekends. Arrive before about 8:30 a.m. on weekend days to get a spot, and consider the unpaved lot, which sits closest to the gondola.
  • Most of the terrain is reached through one gondola and a small number of chairs, so lines build at the Revelation Gondola and the Stoke Chair. Riding the first chairs and skiing mid-week avoids the worst of it.
  • Overnight camping in the resort lot is not permitted, so do not plan to sleep in your vehicle to get an early spot.
