Beating the crowds
- Tuesday to Thursday is quietest almost everywhere, and often cheaper.
- Parking is free in three paved lots below the Base Lodge. On busy days a shuttle circles the lots and attendants send cars to the nearest open space, so arrive early to get a close spot.
- Drop-off is allowed at the lodge portico for 5-minute loading. Use it for gear and passengers, then park in the lower lots.
- The Wild West Express high-speed quad replaces the old West End double for 2026-27 and roughly halves the west-side ride. Riders heading to the west terrain can use it instead of waiting at the Flat Top Flyer.
- Reviewers describe weekdays as usually uncrowded, so a Monday through Thursday visit is the lowest-crowd option. Check the online ticket pricing, since Friday through Sunday tickets cost more.
