Beating the crowds
- Tuesday to Thursday is quietest almost everywhere, and often cheaper.
- Pico is closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays outside the listed peak dates, so Monday, Thursday and Friday are the quietest open weekdays. Monday through Friday hours are 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; Saturday, Sunday and peak dates open at 8:30 a.m.
- Buy lift tickets online before you arrive. Pico requires online purchase so guests can drive straight into the single base lodge lot. Phone help is at 800-621-6867 if needed.
- Pico has one base lodge lot with free parking and a drop-off lane, so there is no choosing between lots. Arrive before 9:00 a.m. on peak days to get a space.
- Pico is on Route 4 with no access road. If you drive from Rutland or Killington, the Rutland-Killington commuter bus runs hourly to Pico; check thebus.com for fares and free-ride dates.
