Beating the crowds
- Tuesday to Thursday is quietest almost everywhere, and often cheaper.
- Pats Peak requires reservations on weekends and holidays, so book the day's ticket online before you leave. Monday to Thursday, non-holiday, tickets can be bought at the mountain.
- Buy a 4pm-close night ticket for a lower-priced session, which opens after the daytime crowd thins out. Night skiing is a core part of the mountain.
- Midweek days, especially Monday to Thursday outside the Dec 21 to Jan 2 and Feb 15 to 19 windows, are the quietest days on the hill.
- Indy Pass holders also need a reservation, and Pats Peak lists one redemption per day, so check the reservation calendar before planning a trip around a specific weekend date.
