Beating the crowds

  • Tuesday to Thursday is quietest almost everywhere, and often cheaper.
  • Parking fills from Lot 1 outward to Lots 2 and 3, so arrive early for the closest spots. Weekends and holidays fill fastest.
  • When the resort lots are full, staff direct cars to Sunapee State Beach across Route 103. Shuttles run from there, so plan on extra time at peak periods.
  • Lift tickets are limited and can sell out, so buy online in advance and pick a weekday when possible. Tickets ordered more than 9 days out are mailed.
  • Lift lines can back up midday. Eating an early lunch at one of the four on-mountain dining areas, which do not take reservations, helps avoid the lodge rush.
