Beating the crowds
- Tuesday to Thursday is quietest almost everywhere, and often cheaper.
- Parking at the base is close-in and free, so arrive before the 9 am lift opening on Saturdays and Sundays to get a spot near the lodge.
- Twilight tickets run Friday and Saturday from 3 pm to close (7 pm Fridays, 6 pm Saturdays), which puts skiers on the hill later in the day. Wednesday $40 tickets start Jan 6, 2027, so a midweek day skis lighter than a weekend.
- Avoid the Feb 13-16 Valentine's/Presidents Weekend events, and pick a non-event weekend if you want open runs.
- Sunday through Thursday lifts close at 4 pm, while Friday runs to 7 pm and Saturday to 6 pm. Arriving late morning on weekends is less useful than a Friday or Saturday evening session.
