Beating the crowds
- Tuesday to Thursday is quietest almost everywhere, and often cheaper.
- Mt. Abram is open Thursday through Sunday, 9am to 4pm, outside holiday and February vacation weeks, when it runs daily. Thursdays and Fridays are likely the lightest days of the week.
- The Westside holds the beginner area and the snowsports school, so beginner crowds concentrate there. Mainside has the Way Back Machine double and the Maine T-Bar and no beginner terrain.
- Indy Pass holders get lift tickets at on-mountain ticket locations and do not need reservations. Going straight to the window on arrival avoids the ticket line.
- Maine Day Thursdays ($19.60) draw Maine residents with proof of residency, and they exclude holiday weeks. Expect more people on those days.
