Beating the crowds
- Tuesday to Thursday is quietest almost everywhere, and often cheaper.
- Magic caps day-ticket and Indy pass sales at about 1,500 skiers per day, so buy online ahead of time to guarantee a spot. Online tickets or Indy reservations also let RFID card holders skip the ticket window.
- Magic operates Thursday through Sunday only, plus holiday weeks and MLK Monday. Non-holiday Thursdays are the least crowded days and carry the $79 online rate.
- Parking is free in Lot A and Lot B at the base. Arrive at least 90 minutes before your first run on weekends and holidays, since the on-site lots can fill.
- The access road backs up when many skiers leave at the same time. Leave a little early on busy days, and drive slowly on the winding road in snow.
