Beating the crowds
- Tuesday to Thursday is quietest almost everywhere, and often cheaper.
- Ski Sundays and weekdays. Saturday is the main crowd day, and Sunday traffic drops off once visitors head back to the Twin Cities in the morning.
- Reserve online ahead of time. The resort recommends reservations for weekends, and they are often required on peak holiday periods because of daily capacity limits.
- Get to the base lot early on busy days. It can fill, and an overflow lot down the road runs free shuttles when in use.
- Expect bottlenecks on Eagle Mountain, where lower runs of mixed difficulty funnel into two trails, and on the narrow bridges on Bridge Run. Lines are rarely long in winter, so mid-morning on weekdays is usually the calmest time.
