Beating the crowds

  • Tuesday to Thursday is quietest almost everywhere, and often cheaper.
  • Ski Thursday or Friday. The resort runs Thursday through Sunday plus holidays, so weekends carry most of the traffic. Locals call Thursday 'Powder Thursday.'
  • Avoid the Christmas break stretch, roughly Dec 23 to Jan 1, when the mountain is open daily and the crowds are heavier.
  • Lifts open at 9am every day for 2026-27, so arriving at opening gets you laps before the midday crowd.
  • The resort has no snowmaking and no high-speed lifts, so lift lines can form on big powder weekends at the five double chairs. Spread out across the mountain instead of staying on one chair.
