Beating the crowds
- Tuesday to Thursday is quietest almost everywhere, and often cheaper.
- Ikon reservations are required at Loon this season. Book your day on IkonPass.com before you go, and check again if your first choice is full, since availability changes with cancellations.
- Parking lots fill on weekends and holidays. A 2022 visitor reported arriving around 7:30 a.m. on a Saturday and finding the main lot already nearly full. Lots can also turn guests away once they reach capacity.
- If the main lots are full, use South Peak parking and ride the Lincoln Express Quad, or try the Escape Route lot. A 2018 guide describes these as less crowded options, so confirm they still work this season.
- Weekday lifts open at 9:00 a.m. (Mon–Fri, excluding holidays) and weekend or holiday lifts at 8:00 a.m., so arriving before the lifts open on weekends means waiting in the lot or lines. Midweek visits in January are generally quieter.
