Beating the crowds
- Tuesday to Thursday is quietest almost everywhere, and often cheaper.
- Midweek is the quiet choice: the resort runs 9 am to 10 pm on non-holidays versus 8:30 am to 10 pm on weekends and holidays, and midweek lift lines are typically short.
- Parking staff direct cars to the next open spot. Shuttles from off-property lots run frequently and drop at the base, which keeps the drop-off zone from backing up. The drop-off zone has few spots, so unload quickly and keep moving.
- Valet parking ($25) runs on weekends and holidays from mid-November into early April. It is worth booking on holiday weekends like Presidents' Week, when the lots fill first.
- Twilight tickets start at 3 pm and are cheaper than all-day, so an afternoon start avoids the morning rush at the base lifts.
