Beating the crowds

  • Tuesday to Thursday is quietest almost everywhere, and often cheaper.
  • Parking is pay-on-arrival by QR code at the North and South Base lots, first come first served, with no advance reservation. Lots fill from opening, so arrive early on Dec 26 to Jan 1 and other peak days.
  • Part of the North Lot is used for resort construction and contractor parking, and South Base is reserved for construction staging. Expect fewer spaces than usual while the gondola is being built.
  • Take TART Connect, the free on-demand West Shore shuttle, to skip the lot entirely. Homewood is not a stop on the Emerald Bay shuttle.
  • Skip the Homewood pass peak blackout dates (Dec 26 to Jan 1, Jan 16 to 17, and Feb 13 to 15 for most pass tiers) when crowds are heaviest.
