Beating the crowds
- Tuesday to Thursday is quietest almost everywhere, and often cheaper.
- Saturdays from about 11 AM to 2 PM are the busiest window. Arrive before 8:30 AM for parking, or ski after 3:30 PM for night skiing.
- If you have your own gear, park at the Yodeler Lodge lot near the Yodeler Quad. Use the Main Lodge lot only if you need rentals, lessons, or childcare, since it fills first.
- Eat lunch around 10:30 AM or after 2 PM to avoid the cafeteria rush from roughly 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM.
- Tannenbaum Lodge at the north end is usually quieter. Late arrivals after 9:30 AM on busy days can end up in remote overflow parking with a shuttle, so plan extra time. Route 219 can back up for long stretches near the village.
