Beating the crowds
- Tuesday to Thursday is quietest almost everywhere, and often cheaper.
- Gunstock limits both season passes and daily lift tickets, and says it may sell out on weekends, holidays and vacation weeks. Book the lift ticket online ahead of time to secure a spot.
- Plan weekdays. The Dec 28 to Jan 1 and Feb 15 to Feb 19 vacation weeks are the resort's holiday periods and are the busiest stretches on the calendar.
- Gunstock says its lift lines and trails are less crowded than at many resorts on busy days, so a midweek visit outside the vacation weeks is the most reliable way to avoid them.
