Beating the crowds

  • Tuesday to Thursday is quietest almost everywhere, and often cheaper.
  • Buy the lift card online before you go. Pick it up at the ticket kiosk in front of the lodge, which skips the window line. The ticket office opens at 9 a.m.
  • The front-side Easy and Jubilee lifts open at 9:30 a.m. The backside lifts, including Limelight, open at 10 a.m. Go to the front side first if you arrive early, and head to the backside after the lines settle.
  • Rental shop rentals must be reserved online in advance, so book ahead to avoid waiting at the counter.
  • Weekday skiing is the lightest option at this small, mostly uncrowded mountain. Holiday weeks and Montana school break weeks are the busiest.
