Beating the crowds
- Tuesday to Thursday is quietest almost everywhere, and often cheaper.
- Snow Park Lot 2 is reserved for cars with three or more skiers on weekends and holidays, so solo or two-person groups should use Lots 3, 4 and 5 or the Deer Valley East Village lot off the US-40 Mayflower exit, which has about 1,200 free spaces.
- The lots at Snow Park and the Jordanelle gondola fill early; the Jordanelle lot typically fills by 8:30 AM. When the main lots are full, use the Richardson Flat Park & Ride, where free buses run every 15 minutes to Snow Park Lodge.
- Deer Valley caps daily lift ticket sales, so buy tickets online before peak dates such as Dec 19 to Jan 8 and the March spring break weeks. Lift reservations are required for Ikon holders on some dates.
- Ski school and the Snow Park lots are busiest around 9 AM on weekends and holidays, so arriving earlier or using the free valet and ski storage at Snow Park Lodge helps. Use the Deer Valley app parking tracker before you drive.
