Beating the crowds

  • Tuesday to Thursday is quietest almost everywhere, and often cheaper.
  • Weekends and holidays are the busiest times, and the resort advises arriving about an hour early. Parking lots reportedly fill after 10 am on Saturdays, so arriving before 9 am makes a noticeable difference.
  • Tuesday through Thursday outside school holidays are much quieter than weekends, according to independent visitor guides.
  • Cypress Bowl Road is being repaved through the end of October with single-lane alternating traffic on gravel. Allow 15 to 20 extra minutes, and check DriveBC before heading up.
  • Buy lift tickets online in advance. Online prices rise with demand, and the Cypress shuttle from downtown is cash only with seats reserved online in advance.
