Beating the crowds
- Tuesday to Thursday is quietest almost everywhere, and often cheaper.
- Weekends and holidays before noon need a parking reservation. Reservations are free within 7 days of a visit with a lift ticket or pass, and the system opens Nov 22. Vehicles without one are stopped at F Lot.
- Lots fill on powder weekends. Arriving after they fill means being turned back at the bottom of the six-mile spur road, so check the base camera before the last hour of the drive.
- Monday through Friday needs no parking reservation (except holidays), so midweek is the easiest day to visit.
- The Afternoon Pass is valid from 1:00 p.m. to close with no blackout dates. Mid-afternoon traffic on SR-410 through Greenwater and Enumclaw is heavy on the return drive, so leaving later avoids it.
