Beating the crowds
- Tuesday to Thursday is quietest almost everywhere, and often cheaper.
- Parking is free with no reservations, in a main paved lot plus a gravel overflow lot, both within walking distance of the Grand Lodge.
- Night skiing runs Monday through Wednesday, so weekday daytime is typically the quietest. Check current hours before driving up, since the resort has posted reduced operating days early in the week.
- Cherry Peak has no lodging on site and serves mainly local families and Utah State students, so it is usually less crowded than the larger Cache Valley and Wasatch resorts.
- Canyon road conditions can change quickly. Check udottraffic.utah.gov before driving and consider leaving by mid-afternoon to avoid end-of-day traffic.
