Beating the crowds
- Tuesday to Thursday is quietest almost everywhere, and often cheaper.
- Cannon's 2026-27 peak lift-ticket dates are Dec 26 to Jan 3, Jan 9 to 10, Jan 16 to 18, Jan 23 to 24, Jan 30 to 31, Feb 6 to 7, Feb 13 to 21, Feb 27 to 28, Mar 6 to 7, and Mar 13, 20 and 27. Weekdays outside those dates are the quietest days on the calendar.
- Indy Pass reservations are required at Cannon this season, and Indy says only one Indy redemption can be used per day. Book the reservation before you drive over, especially for weekends.
- Base-area lots fill early on weekends and holiday periods. Arrive before the morning rush, and expect the Route 3 and I-93 Franconia Notch approach to back up when the lots are full.
- Late-season days from March 6 onward are usually less crowded than the February recess weeks.
