Beating the crowds

  • Tuesday to Thursday is quietest almost everywhere, and often cheaper.
  • Parking reservations are required before noon on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. Monday through Thursday, and any time after noon, no reservation is needed, so weekday mornings and afternoons are the easiest times to park.
  • Limited weekend spaces release Mondays at 6 pm, with the rest released the day before at 8 am and 2 pm. Cancellations are accepted until 8 am and often open up the night before or the morning of.
  • Preferred Parking in the Explorer Lot (Monday through Thursday, non-holidays) holds your space until 11 am. Night riding from 2 pm to close needs no reservation and is usually the least crowded time on the hill.
  • Overflow goes to the Brighton Store lot only after a lot attendant directs you there. The store lot is employee-only in winter, and the parking lot is closed from 12 am to 7 am for grooming.
