Beating the crowds
- Tuesday to Thursday is quietest almost everywhere, and often cheaper.
- Free parking is first come, first served. On powder days the lots fill early, so arrive by about 8:30 AM or use the free weekend and holiday shuttles from the MSU Strand Union Building and the Gallatin County Fairgrounds Park N Ride.
- Lot A is reserved for vehicles with 3 or more occupants, ski school youth participants, and skiers with a disability, so carpooling gets you a closer spot.
- On busy Saturdays the Alpine and Bridger lifts tend to have the longest lines. The Powder Park chair usually has a shorter line and serves terrain that returns to the same base.
- Weekday midweek buses run Monday through Friday, with stops at the Fairgrounds and MSU and a pickup at Saddle Peak Lodge. Weekdays in late January through early March are the least crowded stretch.
