Beating the crowds

  • Tuesday to Thursday is quietest almost everywhere, and often cheaper.
  • Buy a parking reservation online at least 24 hours ahead; spots at the base lots tend to sell out a few days before a weekend. Paid parking is in effect on select dates, including Dec 11-31, 2026 and Jan 1-10, 2027.
  • Snow Summit and Bear Mountain base lots are not free for pass holders on paid-parking days. Use the off-site lots (Sandalwood, Fox Farm, Brownie Lane, Moonridge, Backward Look) with the free resort shuttle to avoid the base crowd.
  • Snow Summit parking is free after 2 PM and Snow Valley parking is free after 6 PM for guests holding Night Session tickets, based on availability. Late-afternoon arrival on weekdays is a way to skip the morning line.
  • Snow Valley is a good alternative for beginners and families. Its lots open at 9 AM Monday-Friday and 8:30 AM on weekends and holidays, and season pass holders park free there even on paid-parking days.
