Beating the crowds

  • Tuesday to Thursday is quietest almost everywhere, and often cheaper.
  • Buy online in advance. Snowbowl prices tickets by demand, and the $9 days are the ones that sell out first. Non-holiday weekdays such as Nov 22-27 and Jan 4-7 are listed at $9.
  • Park at the Hart Prairie lots (1-4) for beginner terrain, rentals and the Hart Prairie, Aspen and Sunset lifts. Use the Agassiz lots (5-8) only if you plan to ride the Arizona Gondola.
  • On holiday weekends and days right after a snowfall, the lots can fill. Resort guidance is to be on Snowbowl Rd by 8 am. Parking along Snowbowl Rd and Highway 180 is not allowed.
  • Take the free Mountain Express bus from the Flagstaff High School park-n-ride, which runs every 30 minutes from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm on scheduled days. Avoid the drive during storms, when Snowbowl Rd requires chains or AWD/4WD and a traffic coordinator sends cars to the lower lot to wait for shuttles.
